Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using InkTree ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service

InkTree is a reading companion that helps you process, reflect on, and organize your reading history. The Service allows you to import your reading history, rate and review books across multiple dimensions, tag and categorize your library, and discover patterns in your reading taste.

Accounts

You must create an account to use InkTree. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Upload malicious code or content
• Use automated tools to scrape, collect, or extract data from the Service without permission

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create within InkTree, including reviews, ratings, tags, and notes. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and display your content as necessary to provide the Service to you.

We do not claim ownership of your reviews, reading data, or any other content you create. If you delete your account, your content will be permanently removed.

Intellectual Property

The InkTree service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by InkTree. Book metadata displayed within the Service (titles, authors, cover images) is sourced from third-party databases and remains the property of their respective owners.

Beta Service

InkTree is currently in beta. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Features may change, and we may experience downtime or data issues during this period. We will make reasonable efforts to protect your data but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service during beta.

Termination

You may stop using InkTree at any time by deleting your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, InkTree shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of InkTree after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
